medmehr is the winner of the Sustainability Award 2023 by the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet

Bochum - At the annual reception of the IHK Mittleres Ruhrgebiet, the participants of the Sustainability Promise and the winners of the Sustainability Award 2023 were chosen. The project, which started in July 2022, raises awareness, accompanies, and supports companies in the Middle Ruhr area on their way to CO2 neutrality.

The Vice Minister of North Rhine-Westphalia and guest of honor at the event, Ms. Mona Neubaur, emphasized that it was the first annual reception at which so much space was given to the topic of sustainability.

We are very honored and very grateful to have received the first award of this kind.

We had six months of intensive work examining the company's sustainability. The appointment of a sustainability officer, three workshops with the entire workforce, the launch of an ideas contest, the survey of our CO2 drivers, and the change of some measures to achieve quick wins, as well as a new product idea, all together were a great added value. We also want to offer this outcome to our customers, especially healthcare facilities, in the future. We also supervise and develop a "medmehr sustainability strategy" as part of a master's thesis.

Not to be forgotten are the nice people and interesting companies that we were able to get to know in our new home, Bochum. We stay on topic; We have committed ourselves to this with the "Sustainability Promise". 🌱
