Mrs. Dr.-Ing. Mandana Banedj-Schafii is named to the Advisory Board of Partner for Water e.V

Berlin – The professional advisory board of the Partner for Water e.V. is growing with the building and health expert Dr.-Ing. Mandana Banedj-Schafii. Dr.-Ing. Schafii offers comprehensive expertise in the healthcare sector and the closely related technical building equipment, which must meet special requirements. 

Healthcare as a unity of space and healing art 

Dr.-Ing. Schafii has a doctorate in civil engineering and accumulates over 20 years of professional experience in the field of building and medical technology as well as facility management in the healthcare sector--hospitals and care facilities.

In 2008 she founded mandamehr, which was transformed into the Institute for Space and Health in Bochum in 2021. The goal is to create a Real Laboratory for optimized health and care provision for people. "The central idea that accompanies me in all my projects is my desire for a better and more humane healthcare environment," says Dr.-Ing. Shafii.

Valuable network for political work

"The joy is entirely on my side. Dr.-Ing. Banedj-Schafii's comprehensive health expertise provides our advisory board with a very interesting expansion in terms of content. She  has a network which is valuable for us. Drinking water hygiene and building technology play a vital role concerning our focus on health care. This will increase rather than decrease in the near future," said PfW chairman, Joachim Stück. 

Drinking water hygiene in public health facilities 

The Partner for Water e.V. was founded in Berlin in January 2016 with the goal to advocate for more hygiene and safety in the use of drinking water in sensitive public service facilities. Studies in hospitals, care facilities, schools, and dental clinics have been carried out and published. Additionally, a meta-study and a population survey are available.
